How to Beat that Mid-day Laziness
Almost everyone who wakes up early in the morning and goes to work, complains about that midday laziness. There are several reasons and habits that people have which make them feel lazy. These habits don’t seem like it but they are pretty unhealthy for you even if you don’t have to be at work. Often times, after the Covid 19 work from home started, people complained about falling asleep in the middle of work because they were working from home. There are many reasons that a person feels lazy at around noon and we will discuss all those reasons here.
Make Your Bed
Making the bed is the most important thing to do when you want to have a good night’s sleep. Often when you feel fatigued at work around noon, the reason is sleeping around a mess. We all tend to make a mess when we have a busy schedule, and sleeping without cleaning up the bed makes us anxious and disturbs our sleep. When we don’t make the bed, we always feel tired no matter how much we have slept.
Sleep Well
People don’t take their sleep timings seriously and go to bed when they feel tired. One more thing that is important apart from making your bed is getting off your phone at least an hour before you go to bed. While it is very attractive to go to bed watching Netflix, screens are not good for you before bed. Get off your phone an hour before bed, and half an hour before. If you are someone who faces difficulty sleeping without your phone, play some soft and soothing music and keep your phone away from you. Go to the internet and search good music on Spotify. Don’t have Coffee Early in The Morning
Coffee is most of the people’s everyday go to breakfast before leaving for work. What these people don’t realize is that coffee gives people an extra energy boost for the while and then takes the energy away by mid-day. So, if you want your day to be energetic, go for breakfast foods that work for you and are fresh and organic. Leave that coffee for later and start your day with an energizing breakfast such as Chia seed puddings, berry smoothies, almonds, eggs, Papaya, and Greek Yogurt. These foods keep you healthy as well as energetic for the day.
Avoid White Breads
One more reason for you to feel sleepy and fatigued by mid-day is the fact that you have too much sugar added foods and white breads. White flour is known to make you feel sleepy after you have it, and so is sugar in the morning. While you can have these foods later in the day, try to eat whole wheat and multi grain breads. Whole grains provide your body minerals and nutrients that help you balance your blood sugar levels and prevent those midday energy crisis. Instead of consuming packaged food filled with artificial sugars and preservatives, have natural energizing foods to stay active for a longer time and to stay healthier.
Stay Hydrated
Most of the times, we tend to forget to drink water. Water is the most important part of life and we need to keep ourselves hydrated in order to stay in good health. Nutritionists suggest that a person should drink at least an average amount of 2-3 liters of water a day. It is also important to have water in the morning or early in the day and less at night or it disturbs the sleep because you have to pee in the middle of the night. So, stay hydrated and stay active.
Exercise and Take Snack Breaks
Exercise should be taken as a person’s most important part of the day. If you want to have a healthy and active routine, develop an exercise schedule and do it daily. The best exercises to do in the morning or midday are yoga and aerobics. Exercise gives you endorphins and they keep you happy and active for the day. It is known that people who exercise stay mentally and physically fit, and they also don’t feel lazy in the middle of work. Apart from exercise, when you feel lazy and fatigued at work, have a healthy energizing snack, such as a granola or protein bar to keep yourself energetic.
We get one life, and we spend it eating the wrong foods, working the wrong jobs and we only spend the life. It is important to do the right things and live the life that we get and live it right. So, fix your eating and sleeping habits and beat that unwanted laziness.
